After a long over due hiatus I will begin starting this site up again over the next few weeks. It's still not complete from where I have left off but as long as there are posts weekly then it's all fine by me.

Now 2013 is over and we are a week or two into 2014 and we have a fresh new roster of games to look forward to with this new year. These will obviously be Nintendo games only or at least games that will be on Nintendo consoles. Some games may not come out in 2014 but they most likely will. Now let's get started on Games we need To look out for in 2014. (Note: These games are in no real order.)

1.) Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. This is yet another game to look forward to in the Persona series. You can look for it towards the end of 2014 and it will be released on the Nintendo 3DS.

2.) Super Smash Bros. 3DS/ WiiU. Everyone's favorite childhood fighter is back for another round but this time it will be on handheld and home console alike. You can already pre-order this game and it will be released early this year.

3.) Bravely Default. I've had my eyes on this game for a long time now and I have to say it's my most anticipated game of 2014. You can pick this game up on February 7, 2014 for your Nintendo 3DS.

4.) Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. Now Iv'e never played a Professor Layton game but Iv'e heard amazing thing about the series. This is a game I will defiantly buy when it comes out February 28, 2014 for my Nintendo 3DS.

5.) Yoshi's New Island. We finally  have another game dedicated to our favorite fictional dinosaur, Yoshi. This game will be on Nintendo 3DS later on into 2014.

6.) Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Once again I've never played a Professor Layton game OR a Ace Attorney game but even I am excited for this. To of gamings most iconic sleuth are at it again but this time with each other. You can look for this game early 2014 for your Nintendo 3DS.

7.) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. In resent years Nintendo has brought back there beloved character Donkey Kong in his new Donkey Kong Country games. This game is sure to be a lot of fun and will be on the Nintendo Wii U on February 21, 2014.

8.) Human Element. I was totally unaware of this game until I was doing research for this list. And after seeing it I have to put it on here. You can pick it up some time in 2015 for the Wii U.

9.) The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup. This is a quirky plat former for the Wii U that you can expect in 2014.

10.) Hyrule Warriors. Ever wanted to be Link taking down waves of enemys with soldiers from Hyrule? Well pretty soon you can with this upcoming Wii U game. It will be released later 2014.

11.) Child of Light. This 2D Wii U side scroller sports gorgeous graphics and fun looking game play. Look for it in 2014.

12.) Tengami. You a fan of Japanese culture and art? Then this 2D side scroller was made for you. You can expect it early 2014 for the Wii U.

13.) Mario Kart 8. After years of ruined friendships and victory dances we are getting yet another Mario Kart. This timely classic will be spectacular as always. You can pick a copy up for your Wii U spring of 2014.

14.) Shovel Knight. I'm sure all of you classic game junkies are just as stoked for this game as I am. I've had my eye on it for what feels like forever now. It features retro music and graphics mixed with ass kicking hard game play. Buy this must own Wii U title sometime in 2014.

15.) Bayonetta 2. Iv'e only played a small portion of the first Bayonetta but I have to say I did love it. Now in 2014 we are finally getting a sequel to this game. This game will be on Wii U in 2014.

There you have it. Nintenkami's Games we need to look out for in 2014. If we missed any games tweet up @nintenkami. If you want to personally tell me some of your games tweet me @MrUnshyGuy. Have a great New Year with great new games.
The Persona games have been around for a while. They didn't get much Western success until the release of Persona 3 for the PS2. Now we also have Persona 4 which did even better than 3. A few months back Atlus announced the newest Persona games. There was the obvious Persona 5 that we all expected, Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold (I swear to god that's the real name), Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and the one I will be talking about today Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. Now all of theses games look very interesting. Not much is known about Persona 5 but we can expect it to be a traditional Persona game. Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold is a fighter much like Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a dancing game much like Project Diva, and Persona Q is the first 3DS/ Nintendo Persona title. I'm a big fan of the Persona games and this one looks interesting. It takes the main characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4 and intertwines their story's in some way. The game has a interesting art style that fans of the Persona series aren't going to be use to. Instead of the traditional anime style they went for a chibi look. Now even though it has a more "childish" look to it I believe it will still be a great title. And I'm really hoping this new art style won't turn people down. I'm not sure why they would have even chosen this style. It's clear that  the 3DS can handle the normal Anime graphics. Maybe they just wanted something new. I for one welcome the game with open arms.

Not much is known about the game yet other than what we have seen. I've seen some people compare it to Etrian Odyssey. But I'm not familiar enough with this title to make any real comparisons. This isn't the first Persona games to mix the characters from other games but it's the first "traditional" title we have ever seen. I'm excited for this game and all of the other new Persona games coming out. Even Persona 4: Dancing All Night, which I can't see getting a western release. All we can do now is keep our eyes open for more new on the games.

Parts of the upcoming RPG release on the Nintendo 3DS by Square Enix which will hit shelves later next month has already been censored for it's arrival in North America. Some of those changes include;

the raise of some characters ages from 15 to 18. Sexual innuendos have also been toned down for the localization.

None of the changes have been said to effect the games story in any way. Bravely Default will arrive on February 7th.

The Nintendo eShop for the Wii U and 3DS id back up and running after being down. Nintendo has confirmed that it is back up and that they will continue to monitor the situation. This is what Nintendo had said on their facebook page regarding to the doen time;

"Thank you very much for your patience while we perform maintenance on the Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Network. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support. We wanted to share some details on what is causing this downtime, and update you on the current outage in service.

The initial outage was primarily caused by a one-time surge in demand over the recent holidays, compounded by the following:

1) An influx of new Nintendo Network accounts being created and accessing the Nintendo eShop.
2) Existing Nintendo 3DS account information being moved to new Nintendo Network accounts.

We are continuing to adjust our network to meet the needs of all our services and applications. To ensure our global audience has an expected level of consistency in service, we took the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS offline. We expect to have it back online no later than 4 a.m. ET on Dec. 29, but may have to perform more maintenance in the future.

We truly apologize for the inconsistencies in our online services. We are working hard around the clock to fully restore these functions, and will continue to keep you updated on our progress."

GameStop has listed Bayonetta 2 with a May 1st release date. However, Nintendo and Platinum Games have yet to mentioned a release date. Could this be another mistake by GameStop?

It's very simple to download project M. All it consists of is basically downloading the files and placing them on an SD card. You don't have to do a single thing to your wii or brawl disk for this to even work.

You'll obviously need a Super Smash Brothers Brawl game disk and an SD card)

Step 1. Make sure your SD card has nothing on it and make sure that you have deleted every custom made stage on brawl.

Step 2. Click here and the files you need should automatically begin to download. If not, go here and click on the "Hackless Wii Zip (Full Set)".

Step 3. After it finishes downloading unzip the folder that just downloaded and take the folders contents and put them over onto your SD card. (Do not just copy over the folder, only whats in the folder.)

Step 4. Now insert it into your wii and launch up brawl and head back over to the stage builder which you previously just deleted every custom stage. Now it will load up and only press on "Launch Game".

Best deal yet for getting your hands on a Nintendo 3DS XL. Originally priced at $199.99 the handheld is now going for only $149.99 all week at Target.

Nintendo of America tweeted the following:

" Score! All Nintendo #3DS XL systems are $149.99 in-store at @Target this week!"

So just around the start of the month Nintendo released Miiverse on the Nintendo 3DS. Miiverse started out on the Wii U and it's  popularity since then has grabbed it's attention to the 3DS owners.

Now that Miiverse is in my possession I'm going to share my thoughts on it.
Miiverse let's players discuss anything involving the games on both Nintendo platforms through communities. Essientially it's like Twitter, kind of. I really enjoy how organized everything is. Once you get the hang of the layout you will instantly get hooked on it, like I did, maybe.

The entire Miiverse community is helpful and friendly at all times. But, there's always that one smartass that comes in and ruins the fun for everyone.
Miiverse is fairly strict, unfortunately, but keep in mind that the younger demographic is on Miiverse too.

You can't exchange Friend Codes or your post will be deleted by an administrator.

I was finally able to get myself to sit down and install Project M. A surprisingly simple process that takes no less than a minute. (Excluding the download time which roughly took about 10-15 minutes. Depends on the power of your computer)
You can find more information about Project M on their website. Without further ado, let's get to the review.

After the insanely simple installation, Project M (Project Melee) gave Super Smash Brothers Brawl a complete makeover. Decking out the character rooster with new inclusions of Roy and Mewtwo and countless new skins for almost about every character.

It updated the stages and added new one's such as Dracula's Castle and Skyloft. There's also the Training Room which all of these stages are completely new and original Project M stages.

What I like about the updated stages is they basically redesigned them. An example of that is Rumble Falls where they made the stage stationary instead of being a vertical moving stage.

More stages from the previous games are also included. Saffron City and Hyrule Castle from Super Smash Brothers on the Nintendo 64 also see the light of day.
The two new characters that weren't in Brawl, Mewtwo and Roy, are exactly the same as they were from Melee. The only thing that was updated on their movesets were their final smashes. Also Mewtwo's skin is noticeably updated. Both of them fit perfectly into the game and don't standout among the other characters as Melee characters.
Turbo Mode, which is accessable by going to Special Brawl (and also a new in battle item), is a brand new mode Project M added in the game. Essentially you can perform combo attacks.

Whenever you pause the game during a battle you can move the camera angle freely. Which wasn't possible at all in Brawl. It's perfect when wanting to get those picture perfect screenshots of the battle.

One of my favorite things about Project M is that you can play against your friends online that also have Project M installed.

There's ALOT to cover regarding what Project M fixes. Everything that I have said is the most noticeable changes in the game.

Now I would like to take the time to personally thank the Project M developer for letting fellow Smash players have access to Project M absolutely free.

Yesterday, December 12th, a patch for Pokemon X and Y was released. You can get the updated version from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Here's what that patch fixes:
Fixes an occasional bug causing Pokémon not to learn new moves after evolving through Wonder Trade. Fixes an occasional bug where certain captions for Trainer PR Videos were not unlocked in Lumiose City. Updates an Internet communication issue.
This update also includes the previous Ver. 1.1 update (released on October 25, 2013).

Prevents the occurrence of a rare issue in which players are unable to resume playing after saving their game in certain areas of Lumiose City. More info Players already affected by this issue will also be able to resume playing normally after downloading and installing this update data.

Prevents errors which sometimes occur when using certain functions of the GTS (a feature allowing players all around the world to exchange Pokémon).

Nintendo Online has reported that the 2014 spring release of Super Smash Brothers was actually a mistake. There actually hasn't been a set release date for the game.
"As we were told today, the statement about the spring release for Super Smash. Bros. was a mistake. Therefore no actual date has been set except for the year 2014. Mario Kart 8 will still be released in spring 2014."

The most recent screenshot revealed by the creator, Masahiro Sakurai, has shown what appears to be a brand new item which is called the "Steel Diver".

"Pic of the day. Q: "Is this a Steel Diver?" A: "Yes, indeed, that is a Steel Diver." The sub from Steel Diver is now a cute projectile weapon--it launches torpedoes that fly slowly at first."

Last night Cranky Kong was just recently announced and was confirmed as a playable character for the upcoming Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Nintendo 3DS. Now there's supposedly a fifth playable character. During an interview Reggie hinted at the fifth playable character by stating:

"We're not going to reveal a fifth for you."

After being asked if there will be another hidden character. Could he mean that they will reveal it later on or will we have to play it ourselves to find out?

Masahiro Sakurai, series creator, revealed on Miiverse that Majora’s Mask will appear as an assist trophy in the upcoming Super Smash Bros on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

"Here’s a new Assist Trophy–the Skull Kid! I repeat, it’s an Assist Trophy, not a new fighter. The characters announced on the website are the fighters."

It's no secret that I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan. Hell I even named my cat after Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Back in the day the Final Fantasy games were on Nintendo consoles and they were great but when Nintendo didn't make the switch to disk based games the franchise moved to the Play Station. Now Nintendo has disk based consoles yet we don't see many new Final Fantasy's for them. In all honesty it doesn't bother me at all, but I do want to know why they haven't brought any of the main titles to the Wii, Wii U, or 3DS. The only reason I could think of is legal reasons or that Nintendo's consoles are held back by it's software. I know a lot of people will be mad that I said this but Nintendo consoles are almost always a step behind in technology. Perhaps there systems just can't do what Square Enix wants. Despite this I wish that Nintendo would get something because I would like to see my favorite game company have games with my favorite game franchise again.

Reggie is opened to the idea of including him in the next Super Smash Brothers game. He has recently tweeted:

" My #FinalSmash in Super Smash Bros. would be the MY BODY IS READY SLAM #Regginator"

Reggie has also said that the series creator, Masahiro Sakurai, might consider adding him if the petition gets 100,000 signatures.

The petition has already reached over 34,000 signatures.
Reggie's final smash would be called “MY BODY IS READY SLAM.”

You can now go set yourself up with a Pre-order of Bravely Default for the Nintendo 3DS on Amazon or at Gamestop.

The long awaited Youtube Application is finally available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The application is
really buggy and the video quality is lacking abit but at least it's finally on our favorite handheld console.

Okay, let me begin saying that this particular type of game is NOT in any way interesting to me. So don't get the wrong idea and for starters I wasn't the one who even made the game. Of it doesn't surprise me that a game like this came out of Japan and understandable why the game will never be localized...

But that doesn't take away the fact that the game actually looks pretty awesome. The art style is really cool. Not because of the boobs...

If you want to see more of the game you can watch the trailer.
